A new mythopoetic creation is born today!
.
“It´s time”, I think to myself….it´s time to place one solid foot in front of the other…
.
It´s time to Re-member what is important!
.
It´s time to call upon, to savour all I have been given…
.
It´s time to be deeply grateful…all over again and again and again.
.
The clarion call from the depths…is calling me and I hear it loud and clear.
.
The energy pours down from the heavens pressing on my head.
.
What is the simplest way of showing up today…in a way that makes myself feel good?, makes me feel proud?…Create something that excites me….and offers something that can inspire, and contribute to the collective song and something that takes me deeper, entrances me with the beauty and mystery of it all and myself!
….for sure, I don’t know about you….but I definitely need to drink from the inspiration from life itself, so that I can live with my mediocrity!!! Gosh!

All my adult life, I have been called to take and walk a path that is different from most. It has given me to beautiful extraordinary experiences and places…it has taken me to live on many continents, where I have learned from different peoples….
..and it has been clear to me, of the privilege of what it is to be dedicated to this path, to the world of philosophy, maybe through simple acts of devotion in my life….and all the while I have been intrigued about how to be intimate with the essence and the nature of reality…
and, and,
loving the gift of service to this intricate web of mystery…
this, for me, is one of the things that for me, makes life rich, delicious and exciting…
.
Today, I announce, I record a podcast, (I interview a mentor of mine)…and I have been dreaming about doing and creating this new creative baby for years…
.
It´s called Mythopoetics for the Future.
.
So…..for myself and perhaps for you too, let´s investigate what Mythopoetics means….
So we can get into it together….drink from it….understand the richness and the intrigue, together…
Originally this word comes from the Greek, mythos meaning myth and poiein, to make….so here we have the act and the way of creating myths.
.
Tolkien, creator of worlds of the 20th century, spoke to us about mythopoeia….here from the poem by the same name…I share some of his words…
.
“Great powers they slowly brought out of themselves,
and looking backward they beheld the elves
that wrought on cunning forges in the mind,
and light and dark on secret looms entwined”.
.
I don´t know about you, but…that excites me….I feel it in my body, my whole body!
.
Secret looms entwined….yes, mythopoetics, for me, reaches the heart and the imagination…it promises alchemy…it entrances with its beauty.
.
Ok, so, the intellectuals then Henri and Henriette Frankfort argued that this mythopoetic way of thought, pre dated a philosophical approach…
They cited the Ancient Egyptians and Mesopotamians as ones, that viewed everything in life as “thou” or “you”. Everything was animate, everything was alive…Today, we say “it” about a river….for the ancients, the river was a Being… a Being woven into the Mythos of their land and peoples. They lived with an understanding that this water body, had to be respected….had to be treated with reverence….their stories, created a relationship with the world and life…that meant they belonged.

Ok.
.
So, I believe that for the future of our lives, for the grandchildren and their grandchildren that will come. For the Earth and all the magnificent wild creatures…I believe it´s time to fish for these approaches, these ways of understanding and ways of thinking and being, that deeply invite us into our own stories, the stories of our lands, our ancestors…and teach us, about our unique place.

This, this is something I did not receive from my training in yogic philosophies…there was a relationship with existence, yes, but MY PLACE, my unique place in the ecosystem, of the cosmos-earth was sadly absent.
.
So, for me, Mythos and Poetry are one of the secret coded ways of interacting, on of the ways, and a very essential central axis now, with which I experience a true reality, a journey into an authenticity where I humbly recognize my unique birthplace. My way of connecting with a story that began 13.8 billion years ago.

This podcast is called Mythopoetics FOR THE FUTURE.

Because what are the potential dreams that are waiting for us to listen to for our collective and individual futures all in one?
